Since the early stages of the 2026 election cycle, former U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) has been out front ahead of his opponents in May’s congressional GOP primary.
In August, a Cygnal survey showed Carl ahead of his first congressional opponents, State Rep. Rhett Marques (R-Enterprise), and U.S. Army veteran Joshua McKee.
According to a poll of likely Republican voters conducted by AM Research Group on behalf of Carl’s campaign, the former first congressional district representative still has a commanding lead over his opponents.
